[Z06] Trade in value on a 2004 Z06?

Perhaps I should explain. When I bought the '04 Z06, the salesman told me that if I didn't put many miles on the car, he would give me $35k if I brought it back for a trade-in within a year. When I came back for the 2008, nine months later, he claimed he knew nothing about this.
In addition, when they delivered the car to my house with the bill of sale, the price was $6,000 more than we agreed on. I told them to leave. It was then that they remembered the price given to me.

I went through the same thing when I bought my first Harley back in 1993. I bought something used to ride while I waited a year for my new bike. They gave me all my money back, as promised, when my new 1994 arrived.
My mom raised no fools but I take people on face value until they prove they are not trustworthy.
I could have waked away from the deal but I really fell in love with JSB color and the white and black leather wrapped interior. So I just took the 5k hit on my trade, which BTW was the exact Blue Book price for The trade. No big deal.

[QUOTE=Daytona-flyer;1566605784]I had gone to the dealer to buy a 2007 Z06 but at that time they wouldn't work with me on price. They had the nice used '04 there for $40k with less than 10,000 miles. I haven't bought a used car since I was a kid but the car was too cool to pass up. I bought it with the understanding that it was an interim purchase while I waited for the 2008 Z06.
