People in Maui said " If you don't make the day-long trip to Hana, you really haven't seen Maui "
The famous spot is commonly called Seven Sacred Pools...Try to see that but you have to travel near the end of Road to Hana, that the trick.
BTW : I used the Stimulate check from Uncle Sam to go to Hawaii. I think I make the right decision....

When vacation in Hawaii ...I careless about any Waves...

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
i got to work out there on the Metro Transit buses for a month in February
i had the greatest time out there. Got TONS of pictures. if your ever on the city buses in Honolulu look for a computer at the front that says Siemens on it. I installed that

I woke the girlfriend up at 0530 and told we are going to Hana. I was on the road by 6 and eating at Charlies by 7. Once you get on 360 east the fun begins. I don't think I got about 20mph the whole ~35 miles from Paia into Hana. Some of those turns are truly dangerous!
The C6 held up well despite a little offroading we had to do to get around some big trucks.
We went all the way out to the Seven Sacred pools and had lunch out on the rocks. They said we couldn't get in the water because of 'high water', which sucks because that was one of the reasons I wanted to go out there. Nonetheless the trip was nice and my girlfriend didn't get sick. We stopped in Paia on the way back so she could so some shopping, the whole time I'm trying to find a place to wash some of the mud off the car.
We weren't starving so we went to Mama's expecting to get takeout. Once we were there and saw the menu we decided to stay and eat dinner; no maui wowwie. The had a damn good Macadameon nut crusted MahiMahi stuffed with lobster and crab! I am considering making that 45 min drive back out there tomorrow for dinner!
Tomorrow's plan is to hit the Shell station (automatic car wash). I am hoping its touchless, well, either way its going through that wash in the morning.
Then off to the aquarium and whatever else we can find on the Lahaina side. Thanks everyone for the tips on Hana.
Wave count: black C6 coupe - a wave in the morning and another this afternoon
Red C6 vert - a wave this afternoon.
Other Hertz C6 ZHZ rental - a wave on 380.
Almost every car on the road to/from Hana.
Instead of going back to Momma's maybe try Nick's Fish Market at the Fairmont. It is a super awesome restaurant. Also very expensive.
The west coast of the island has some scenic areas too if you drive up it, the guidebooks tell you where to stop. Not as good as Hana but not bad to check out also!
Have fun!
. Road to Hana is definately a must see! Along with the Io Valley, snorkeling anywhere around the island, whale watching & Haleakala volcano at sunrise! The friendly people there, man, what an island paradise! Gotta go back.....soon....like December when it's freezing in Colorado!
How much was the Vette per day?

here's a wave from oahu!
