Sell the car and dump the girlfriend. Being in Canada is not helping your cause to find a good GM mechanic.

All your problems have been documented here. Just take some time and like everybody says, one problem at a time

What would I do?
In this order:
1. Deside if I want to keep the car.
If I want to keep the car. Start a comprehensive repair plan.

2. If I don't want to keep the car.
Sell the sucker!

I agree with repairing the car AND getting rid of the girlfriend. It doesn't seem like you have any issues that are too difficult to repair. As far as the service engine and traction control issues are concerned, didn't your dealer connect the Tech 2 and look for codes. There should definetely be some info stored in your computer, probably your EBCM is on the way out. The CLB will get rid of another annoying problem. As far as the girlfriend is concerned, if you give in to her now things will only get worse in the future. And if you think it ain't too bad now, you will be screwed (and not the good way) if you marry her.

My opinion is that if these things frustrate you so much that you don't enjoy maintaining your car then maybe sell. Part of the fun besides driving is getting to know and work on your car! Not just fixing problems but some mods along with it!

Sound like you had 6 great years and 70 miles. It's time for a little TLC. If your still getting complements on the car you must have maintained it well. So spend a some $$$$ and get it back to where your happy again.

There are as many types of owners as there are people, but I'm with vsocks1. I've never had my car in to the shop for repair (excluding recalls and new tires ). Being willing, able and eager to dive in and fix the things that brake as soon as they brake is what makes my car my car

Remember, the reward for taking care of your car is that it won't fight back when you move on to modding it

I definitely wouldn't bash you for letting your To-Do list grow bigger than I'm comfortable, you at least have a list created. We just had my sisters kids over at our house for 2 weeks, so my wife swapped her new minivan for my sisters excursion (seatbelts for 9 ). Two days after the monster was at our house (the car, not her kids ) I had fixed her cruise control, two seat belts in back which were jammed, and the 12v accessories plug in front. When my wife mentioned it to her, she didn't even know those things were broken

Whether you decide to fix it or sell it or ignore it, keep us updated. The more solutions we can archive in the forums the more future vette owners will benefit from our experiences. I know pretty much every issue I've had with mine over the years have been solved by the great folks on this forum

The girlfriend thing was more of a joke. She just gets upset seeing me frustrated with all these issues.

Last time I took it to the dealer they had it for the day and not once did the service engine soon or traction control messages come on. They said they couldn't find anything unusual, but did say to bring it in immediately next time it happens. For me that's easier said then done.

I enjoy working on my car when I know where and how to address the problem. I don't mind the mechanical stuff, I can do that. Its the electrical issues I can't stand. But you're right, it's getting to know my car along the way.

I do owe it that much. It certainly doesn't look it's age and if I can get another 70K out of it with a few hundred dollars in parts and repair work here or there then I suppose it's worth it.

One thing is for sure, there really are great folks on this forum! The archive is a blessing as I've solved many other problems with my car that I didn't even have to post about. I'll certainly keep everyone updated as to the progress of the repairs.

Sounds like a lot of good advice above. Based on your first post, I'd suggest that you stop taking it to the dealer and find a good Corvette Mechanic in your area, not necessarily a performance shop, but someone who can diagnose and repair Corvette issues. There's not a lot of these guys around, but there's a handful that you can find. Check with local Vette Groups.

Once this mechanic earns your trust, the frustration really goes away. I've got 83k on my 2002 Z06 and do as many repairs as I can, but dont' hesitate to call my mechanic for the rest. Lately I've had some computer/electrical issues. If I had to deal with a dealership I probably would have sold the car too. But I have a trusted Vette mechanic. Without him, I'd be lost. Heck, he's met me at my house to diagnose a problem before.

Good luck. It gets frustrating when any car acts up and gives you problems. Just work through them and get it back to performing the way you want!
