It's a dragstrip usage component, used for locking the front brakes for doing an effortless, safe, and driveline friendly burnout.

Ok, what did I miss???

As for the above, specifically addressing the "sponsors" posting items for sale in "General" and "Tech" comment, not every user posts or reads every section of the forum. When selling an item that can apply to many different facets of interest for members, you have to advertise. That's what the vendorship fees are for, the right to advertise. This is especially important for smaller niche vendors like myself who only sell one or two items and depend on that advertising capability. Don't like it, the don't come into the thread. Simple as that.

Sean, I just wanted to thank you again. I went by the local track on the way home tonight and did 4 passes.

Another personal best!

I am not saying that the Line Lock is the sole provider for this feat, but there are a number of guys at the track that are wondering how I am doing this.

Thanks for a great product!

Bump. Have a look at what Summit is now sending. Same price, back to a standard two port design, but looks 100% better IMO. I was quite pleasantly surprised!! I know the pic doesn't show it well, but that's a satin black finish instead of the gold.

Bump! Season is starting to roll into the good fall weather. Grab a line lock, get a better and more consistent burnout, help out your times before the tracks close!!!

Could this be used as an antitheft device? Not for long-term storage due to battery concerns but for parking for a few hours. Hidden switch, holds brakes on. What is the current draw of the solenoid? Would holding the brakes a few hours hurt anything?

You'd burn up the solenoid. Recommended usage of < 30 seconds. Good thought, but not possible.

Could use a latching solenoid. That uses power to set and then power to unset but no power in either way at rest.

If done that way would it harm the system at all to leave the front brakes on for several hours? If used for anti-theft.

Search "Latching Solenoid" on Google and there are many sources.
