when mine was painted and ready to install, I positioned the spoiler in place before peeling the tape. while the wife held it, I outlined the spoiler on the car with vinyl fine line tape. this way I knew exactly where to clean with alcohol and apply the adhesion promoter. no need smearing the promoter where it's not needed. starting in the center, front and rear, I peeled the backing about an inch. with the help of the outline tape getting it right the first try was easy. by exposing only a small amount of the sticky tape surface, any repositioning is easier. this is all outlined in the instructions included with the spoiler.
hint. when peeling the backing from the tape, be sure all the ends are accessible to pull. and be sure to check for any splices in the tape and peel accordingly. clean, primed, and a warm (not hot) surface makes for an excellent bond.
I was truly surprised at the fit of the spoiler right out of the box. no alteration was needed at all. being of a flexible material made the fitment a snap.
I never thought I'd say this to another guy, but... I really admire your backside.
When will you be start selling those?
of the car...right
As far as selling these, that is a good story. I had a guy that wanted to make hoods contact me a year ago. I told him hood no, spoiler yes. I sent him an old ACS mini with some changes that we wanted made (integration, a slight angle change, and rear edge radius change)
It was project green light, and poof, he dissapears...
I did send David a PM to see if he wanted to WS these, but he has not gotten back to me as of yet.
