Default License plate insert mesh options?

Lot of fabbed ones for brake ducts and fog lights but little for those who want to replace the insert. For those who have done their own, can you get a product to match the Z06 grills? Unfortunately, it seems people really prefer the vendor inserts quality but the same vendors don't make a piece for the license plate. I may just build a license plate mesh and forget the rest since I am really doing this to hide the holes I am going to drill to help vent the engine comartment heat. Any ideas at all are welcome.

This is the company that sells PUBLICLY the proper stainless mesh our cars use. For the life of me I can't remeber which size is correct. Hopefully someone can get the search feature working since it's here on the forum somewhere.

Yes there is something going on with linked threads and the older stuff. Here is the one I think you are talking about http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show...highlight=mesh
It gives me the info on the exact product so I can hopefully source it locally. I just don't want to wait a week plus for international shipping. I am wanting to do another dyno tune this week and the IAT drop from this mod with affect my results.
The bits are cheap enough that I might do a temp job with whatever I can find and if need be order the product from McMaster Carr later.

I thought I had seen a thread a while back where someone had done the mesh thing but recessed it without carving up the stock unit. Are there other options?
