Does anybody know whether the existing connecting rods are strong enough for a Lingenfelter conversion the will be putting out 660 hp? Are the titanium rods strong enough

The stock connecting rods are strong enough for the LS7 motor. Why ask the forum? I presume you are getting your parts from Lingenfelter or are going to have them do it. They have great customer service and will tell you all you need to know.

I was just wondering if anyone had any problems, because I had heard that the titanium rod are brittle and don't hold up that well with additional power. These stock rods, I am told, are pretty much at their limit and have very little room left for safety. As to having Lingenfelter do the conversion, there is a very good speed shop/ motor builder in Hudson Fla. I have heard that you really need to go to forged "h" rods because they are much stronger. Do you know anything one way or the other. I am well aware of Lingenfelter's abilities. I just thought that sombody who might have done the mods might have some thoughts on the subject.

Here's a rundown of the C6 Z06 660 HP package from LPE website. For thier higher power packages they use forged steel rods. I would put the steel rods in for a race car but for "just" 660 hp the titaneum rods will hold up for a street car.

660 BHP / 585 lbs ft of torque

Includes:
Engine removal & removal of intake manifold, cylinder heads, camshaft Lingenfelter CNC porting & polishing of cylinder heads for optimal flow Lingenfelter multi-angle valve job & surfacing for 11.5:1 compression Ferrea high performance dual valve springs, titanium retainers & valve locks
Lingenfelter ZO6 GT21 camshaft by Competition Cams Lingenfelter High Flow C6 ZO6 Air Induction & 4" diameter Lingenfelter Mass Air Sensor
Port Matched LS7 intake manifold Ported and polished LS7 throttle body Higher capacity LS7 fuel injectors GM Head gaskets & head bolts 160 degree thermostat Professional engine assembly and degreeing of camshaft. Professional engine installation, testing & tuning
Chassis dyno report before & after installation Excellent drivability, highway mileage not adversely effected Lingenfelter 3 year/ 36,000 mile warranty Lingenfelter certificate of authenticity
