I've got a line on a 99 vert in excellent cond. w/loooooow miles. The potential problem is this car doesn't have driver seat memory & telescopic steering column. My wife is 4'11" & I'm not sure she can drive it without the wheel being right in her chest once the seat is moved forward far enough to reach the pedals. It's ~ 100 miles to where the car is & I can't find one here in town without telescopic column for her to try. Any help here? I really don't want to miss out on this if I don't have to.
Thanks

I don't think she should be sitting that close to the steering wheel - she could be seriously injured if the air bag goes off and she's sitting with it right in her chest. You might have to place blocks or something on the pedals, and let her sit further back.
Take your wife to a dealer that's local and have her try a C5 before you make the purchasing decision.

^^Try to find a local car place that sells used vettes and have your wife take some test drives. The 2001 and later vettes usually come with all these features and several other safety features such as active handling.
Find the local one with telescopic column.
Adjust it all the way out. The fixed column wouldn't be closer to the seat than this.
If that works for her, you're in business.
But why would you let her drive it in the first place?
