techline and vista?

techline and vista?

Anyone manage to get the techline service cd running on a vista computer? I cant, and I just rekindled my love for my baby and have a lot of work I want to do... help me, im stupid!

Maybe?

After following install instructions I created a shortcut to:

"C:\Program Files\GM SPO\eSI\Service Information.exe"

works fine.

really.. i couldnt even get it to install, it kept saying that the version of windows wasnt supported if i ran it normally or in compatibility mode.

I have it running on Vista on this computer. I didn't see the message you say you saw when installing the application. However, it took some playing around to get it to complete loading. I did have to use an administrator account to get it to work.

hmmm my account is an admin account, but not the root account, i dont know how to get to that hehehe its my friggin comoputer, god i hate vista

ok after trying again i ran the setup, installed the data, and the updated it...

now, I am getting "This API was not located in the specified DLL"

blarg... what am i missing?

Make a copy of the CD and I'll try it here. I have 5 x86 Vista machines and 1 x64 Vista machines running here. I do it for a living and may be able to help you out. PM me if you want to send me a copy of the CD.

im on a x64 ultimate... im wondering if its because i didnt install the server stuff?

just off the top of your head, i installed the autoplay part, the data adn then the update... did i miss anything?
