After reading through all of the posts concerning these bezels on the forum, I had a few questions.
1. What seems to be the general cosensus on adhering these things to the instrument cluster? I have seen "super-glue, gel, 3M tape, clear silicone, and most recently black RTV".
2. Out of those listed above, which have had the best results as far as staying on, and not "fogging" up the plastic?
Thanks for any additional insight as I really like the looks of this mod.
Oh...I have also come across some threads where they used a paint pen to achieve the same result, but this looks like it would be kind of hard unless you had an "artist's touch".
I used Super-Glue Gel. Put them on this last winter and have had NO problems. NO Fogging either. Be sure not to put the gauge cluster back together for at least 24 hrs. Let the glue dry real good, then you won't have a problem with fogging.

I've had mine one for 4 yrs -- no problemo.
Just use real "krazy" glue --- I heard the stuff that comes with the bezels is junk (2 other people I knew who used that stuff had bezels fall off after a yr in CA sun),
I purchased a set off Ebay for $55 and the Tach and Speedo bezels did not fit correctly. I ended up heating the aluminum and opening the diameter so they fit correctly. I used the superglue that came with the kit. Plan on keeping the car parked for a few days as the glue needs alot of time to cure.
I left a fan blowing on it overnight and the next morning the glue smell was gone.

I bought a set from Josh at RPI. My set needed some bending to get them to fit properly and I used the superglue gel. I left the cover off all night and checked on it in the morning. The glue ruined my bezels and more importantly my cluster! the glue due to some humidity, attached it's fumes all over my bezels and my cluster. White residue on everything. I tried everything to clean it. Nothing worked. Totally ruined it. Apparently, don't try to glue these on with humidity over 60%. I talked to Josh and explained everything and he said he honestly never heard of this type of reaction. I agreed and said, "me neither". He sent me free of charge another set of bezels and deeply apologized for the problem. I explained that I felt it was not his fault or a bad product but that I just must of "lucked out" and had all the worst case scenarios add up and bite me.
I ended up taking the lemons I was given and made lemonade out of it. I have since repainted my cluster a two tone airbrush design to match my underhood design and reinstalled the new bezels Josh from RPI sent me. This time I used the black RTV and that worked like a champ. I for one would highly recommend you use the RTV silicone. The silicone won't fog anything, plus silicone flexes. The glue over time will get hard and brittle and the gauges will fall off.
