Damn, rough crowd!!! Easy on a fellow Corvette brother.......

You can buy a "skip shift eliminator" for a few bucks, and it's a fairly easy install (from what I've read here), or just drive the car like it's meant to be driven and you'll never know the "skip shift" is even there

Buckskiner, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

If you shift before 15 mph the skip shift isn't activated. Not sure what else you are talking about as it is incomprehensible.

Nice Quote Alaskanpilot, I love that movie. I was going to say that this post is probably a spoof. I especially like Buckskiners edit to fix the 'spellin' as well, but unfortuately Buckskiner, you spelt "both" correctly...however, you did spell skinner wrong.

Well, now I know how to respond.

I visited his profile page. He's been a member for 90 days and has had 28 visitors to his page.

I've been here going on 2 years and I've had 2 visitors. 1 per year for me. 10 per month for him. I lose.

He's going for popularity.

actually it was "Buckskinner" back in 2003-2004 when I was working at Vought Aircraft R&D, and 2004-2005 when I was at General Dynamics, but when I moved to Raytheon last fall, I could get no response from the admins at CF to change my e-mail address so I re-registered as "Buckskiner". I've actually been here for about 5 years

whatsa madder don't ya wanna have fun no more? yew fellers bout like a buncha grumpy ole' men er sumpthin.
for all you humor deprived souls that haven't the faintest perception of what fun is, or just get your humor from the dirty jokes of a comedy club. here is a different perspective of what I was attempting to convey.
The '04 I just bought, with a 6 speed doesn't have a skip shift eliminator. however I've noticed that the 1-4 shift indicator on the dash goes off @ 2,000 rpm, and was wondering if anyone ever shifted out of 1st gear at under 2,000 rpm. It doesn't seem to affect the way I drive anyway.

p.s. btw God did have mercy on my soul many years ago, and has blessed it ever since. That is THE reason I don't just live life, But LIVE LIFE
and can have fun, enjoy humor and enjoy having others use me as a subject of their humor.

How about a happy medium?? Got a sense of humor,,but I got to admit in your original post one could use a translator! A little of that goes a looong way! Before I got my eliminator I found I could "FOOL" the system by kind of faking toward 4th and going to 3rd and do a 1st,3rd,5th,6th when I was not in a hurry(I CAN actually do that once in a while) Got an eliminator for $12.95 shipped and love picking what gear I want when I want it!! I can chuckle at the Hoosier speak, just tone it down a bit so it's understandable!!

You said it brother...funny stuff. I'm probably wrong but isn't that feature to conserve fuel? So you shif from 1st to 4th? after that it disengages?
