I have an A4 315 so it helped out the trans. shifting at part throttle. I noticed it put fans on high speed sooner. I also have less soot on rear of car. On stock motor before tune 13.1 after tune in the car went 12.9 same day. I bought it when the car was new because I could pull it when it goes to dealer for warranty work. I probably would not have bought it if I had a manual.
I sold the one I had after making more major mods and getting a dyno tune (needed for the supercharger and other mods). The guy I sold it to used it on his 2000 (Auto with 2.73 rear gears). He has been extremely happy with it. Improved throttle response, acceleration and runs smoother. His only complaint was that he has gone through rear tires much more now.
I am running a hypertech on my C4, but when I got my C5 last July I went ahead and got the diablo predator.............it does everything that everyone says, the main thing is improvements in the shift points and cooling. When I got it at first I was impressed, but I purchased it knowing that I would do minor improvements later after I learned more about my car.
I did enjoy the slight improvement that diablo made, but after about a half year I decided I was ready to get some cold air induction and headers and exhaust, I was going to do a little at a time..............but I decided to just do all at once..............you think the diablo made a difference.............I believe that if I had known what the exhaust, headers and vararam was going to do.............I probably would have bypassed diablo.
I do not think it was a waste of money, it did give me time to get to know my car first.
I guess what I am saying is the diablo is good for what it can do, but
eventually you will have the urge to feel more power................I guess that is what the fever is all about.

But your additional mods did not liven up the tranny at all, also my Diablo was used during dyno pulls to help get the A/F ratio dead on. I would still recommend one
