Enjoying my new/first corvette. I had the one piece top on and noticed a noise. Don't know if this is common, (because of my lack of expierence). The top moans and creaks, like an old mans knees, when the road is uneven or their is a bump. Do I not have it seated right? The seals are all good with no wear. Is this common and I am being picky. Just wondering. If not, what am I doing wrong?
Regards,
Adog
Does the noise go away when both windows are down? If so, you may need to adjust the windows and not the roof. Do a search here for steps to adjust windows.
The dealer has wx stripping lube, I use dielectric grease to keep the wx stripping soft and pliable. I haven't had a coupe for a while, but I think the latches on the front of the top are not adjustable, but I may be wrong. The latch on the center rear of the top is adjustable. You have to loosen a lock nut in order to adjust the latch. Your top may be latched too tight, or too loose.
