c5 prices are high

c5 prices are high
Im just curious as to why different car sites have c5 prices so high. Not only from car lots, but from independant people that are saling their cars themselves. It seems that the vehicles posted on corvette forum by enthusiast are so much more reasonable. The prices that people ask here and what I see elsewhere, including the local paper and craigslist and not even in the same ballpark. Has anybody else seen this while in the market for a c5?

oh definitely...I live in Canada and some of the prices are out of this world! The prices on these forums for C5's are way more reasonable like you said...its weird but I think the people on this forum know what there car is worth and sell it for a reasonable price. Josh

well thats because...the forum members KNOW how much they are worth....on a corvette forum,95% of people know the value. The guy down your road might have the only decent corvette for a few miles, therefore hes likely to get what hes asking.Therefore its more of a cnveinience for you to get that vette then to drive 500 miles for a vette that you say on the forum.( Its worth it i bought my vette from this forum!!!!!) they also mark it up b/c they know you will talk them down. the vettes that sell on the forum are usually true value.....USUALLY not askin too much...generally right around blue book or maybe just enough to pay the car off.....you can consider the forum as the more honest sales
