Same with Bounce fabric softener sheets. I put one in each tailpipe, several inside the car (including sticking some in the dash vent louvers) and under the hood. Have never had an issue with rodents of any sort. Good to know Irish Spring works, too. Personally, I'd never use mothballs because of the gross smell.
