Default part found from previous owner

I am still finding things that the previous owner had done to the 98. today while under the drivers side dash looking at the steering sensor, I noticed something behind the gas pedal. I saw some sort of spring loaded switch that looks like once you pressed the gas pedal down so far that it would activate this aftermarket switch. I traced the wires under the console but they had been disconected. I believe these wires ran to a toggle switch in the arm rest hooked up where the 12 plug in was. Can anyone point me in the direction of what this switch behind the gas pedal was for and maybe what type of set up the guy was running???

Nitrous would be my guess. If I'm right that's not good.

I would also agree Nitrous, Most likely when the gas was pushed to the floor it turned on the nitrous as long as the toggle switch was on. What else did you find in the car?

It's probably for the power adder. Sorry, man. A professional pre-inspection might have found it.

I had it inspected at a chevy dealer before I bought it and they found nothing.... The previous owner never said anything about nitrous. Other mods done to the car that he told me about was...the FAST intake, halltech bridge, vortex airbox, built trans (A4)with 3500 stall, changed rear to 3.42, long tube headers, no cats, and z06 mufflers system. The car is modded buy never a clue of nitrous. Should I get the car check out by a garage and what should I check for for damage. THe car runs great I have had no problems mechanicaly...

Not too many other things that I know of that would use a switch like that.

Sounds most likely of a Nitrous switch but, that's the first I've heard
of it being under the pedal.

That is most likely left over from the MIL system. It's a switch that when you fully depress the gas pedal, it sends an electrical charge to the passenger seat that wakes up your Mother In Law riding next to you so she can YELL AT YOU TO SLOW DOWN!!!
