It depends on the length of the course and what gears you use. I have hit the 240* range on a few occasions in the hot SoCal summers.

Similar to what you would see in traffic. At an autocross you sit around a fair amount of time with the engine running and then you do a short burst of near wide open to wide open throttle operation for 60 to 90 seconds and you are back to sitting around or crawling at 5 mph.

After getting a tune from Chuck COW my oil temps dropped 20-30 degrees.
Havent gone over 260 on on 20 minute track runs!
Really gives me peace of mind and added protection.

Hey Goody, that car looks familiar.

I was at a long (90 sec) fast event this year & hit the rev limiter in 2nd a few more times than I should have (shoulda shifted to 3rd) and saw 270 f.

Bone stock z06, didn't hurt anything, but I would not do that on a daily basis.

As long as it doesn't go over 300 degrees you are fine. I run my car on the track and would see 300 degrees after 20 minutes so I put in a Ron Davis radiator with an intergal oil cooler. A straight oil cooler will be to cold on the street.

A tip is to pour in a bottle of Redline water wetter to help it cool better, and always turn on the AC after each run to make sure the second fan comes on since it triggers around 235 or so.
