Default The ultimate compliment

After watching numerous Z06s at the track rip off low 12 sec ets, stock, I must say GM has finally gotten it right. It doesn't matter whether it's a magazine article or just talking to the owners of these fine rides, the comments are always positive. I've seen a couple flirt around in the 11 second zone with just minor boltons. Daaaaamn. I just want to say I envy you guys who own and drive these cars and I hope you really realize how fortunate you are to have the ultimate factory corvette. Hopefully one day I can stop dumping money into the camaro and be able to go out and plunk down the cash to own a car that runs, from the factory, what most others can only dream about after modding their hotrods. Congrats guys...and gals. :)

I agree with big dave. They're awesome cars. I love hanging out on this forum, just to get my fix everyday even though I don't own a Vette. But one day I will, damn it! :)
The stories I read here everyday, are way too cool. I just can only imagine the fun these guys are having. Very fortunate indeed. :yesnod:

I love the Z06. I've never paid much attention to Vettes, because they've always been out of my range. However, when the Z06 came out, I was absolutely impressed, and obsessed with this car. I've been learning everything I can about them. I think next time I get a chance, I'll buy one. Hopefully in the next 2 years or so... :cry

I know what you're going through Wicked Lt1 for the last 4 years i drove a ford escort, saving every dollar i could get my hands on and recently bought my first vette. I was on the forum for at least 3 1/2 years my friend had 4 different vettes since 98 and i was going nuts not having one, but on the 24th of december i finally got a used 2001 Z06 for a very good price. I can agree with all of you out there that drive these cars that they are awsome.

The best thing that the GM dealer doesn't tell you, is that people from all walks of life will come up to you, when you go to the store, or wait in line at McDonald's for a $.95 cup of coffee, and with a smile on their face, look at the Z06 and ask you what it is like. Most of them haven't even seen a Z06 up close, only in magazines, and here they find themselves holding a conversation with someone who drives it almost everyday, and is a normal "Joe" just like them. I think we all share the same awe and carry the same love for the car. The only difference is, some of us get to drive them. :flag

The car amazes me every time I drive it. I once heard that a day in Hawaii is equal to a year any place else in the world. The same hold true for the Z. Truley an awesome car.
