Default Switchback LEDs

I looked at a thread that had videos of switchback LEDs in the front turn/running light. I think the bulbs come from Autolumination, but I am not sure how you do this. I think one bulb is a 3157 and the other 194.
Do you just replace the 3157? The video appears to have changed both.
I sent a PM to the thread author but have not got an answer back yet.
Can anyone else shed some light on this mod?

If you are going to change the bulbs to the switchbacks you can also change the side markers to the 194 cluster LED's. You don't have to change them but they do look better if you have clear corners. Amber clear for the side front and red clear for the rear side markers if using clear rear side marker lights. You will also need a "flasher bypass" if changing to switchbacks so you don't get a hyper flash condition. See this thread. Richard is great to deal with!!!

I did the clear corners on my car a couple months ago. I got the amber LED 194 bulbs from Autozone. I got the switchback LED's from Autolumination. When the car is off it looks crystal clear in the housing. When day time driving the Switchback LED's are amber, and side marker LED's are off. When the head lights are on the switchback LED's are "WHITE", and the side amber LED marker lights turn on. When you turn on your turn signal at night the switchback's toggle between WHITE, and AMBER. I love the upgrade, and it looks bad azz looking at the car from the front with my 6000K HID lows, and 6000K HID Fogs and WHITE LED switchbacks. The 6000K HID's are very close in color to the switchbacks.

you replace your current front DRL, which should be a 4157NA, with the "switchback" tower LED. the side marker doesn't have to be changed as it has nothing to do with the Daytime Running Light

Default Thanks

Thanks for the info. I all ready have the hyper flash relay.
I have ordered the LEDs from autolumination. I went with the 20. I will see about the amber marker and clear lenses later.
