Okay, I'm still pretty new around here. I got my C5 a week ago (Torch Red/Lt. Oak top & interior, 1999, 36k mi. completely stock for now) no pictures yet.
I was wondering what the best product for cleaning & protecting the light oak canvas top is. Mine has no stains & I want to keep it that way. I've seen some with dark staining, mainly toward the bottom edge at the back. What products are good for this?

Also, I'm looking at ordering a trunk partition, as much for cosmetics as for sound deadening. Will the partition interfere with raising & lowering the top? I can't quite see how it would clear completely if it goes where I think it does.

TIA.
Mike

Rag Top kit, cleans and protects the top, nothing better!

No problem with the partition, top up or down. It wont help much for the noise, but it helps keeps things in the trunk area.

Raggtopp kit.
Make sure it is thoroughly dry before applying protectant. I waited over night.
Also, don't let any of that stuff get on the paint. Easy to mask off.

The partition is the only thing I have purchased that I think is a waste of money.

Be sure to clean your seats ocassionally with saddlesoap and reapply a leather protectant. Apply a thin coating of silicone lube to the weatherstripping. If you often drive with your top down, use a good protectant with a sunblock on the interior surfaces.

Enjoy your 'Vette.
