Nice install.

How's the sound quality? I have D1 in my vette but I can't get the sound tweaked quite to my liking. But I've heard the D3 sounds better. You happy with it?

I have the D3 in my F150, and stuck with an alpine in the vette, cause I didn't want to watch movies driving around like I do with my truck. As far as the sound quality goes, I can't get the D3 to sound quite how I like it either. I have Kappa's and Alpine amps in both vehicles, and the vette sounds so much better. I love the D3 as a h/u, because it offers so many features and I love the touchscreen, but I can't really get the highs to pope like they do in the vette. I know it has a lot to do with speaker placement and space, but when I switch vehicles, I wish my truck sounded like my vette.

btw, the install looks awesome

Looks great! I want to do an indash in mine as well, but am limited because I'm not sure if I want to do the double din conversion.

Where did you get that trim piece, and how hard was converting it to double din?
