You don't say what equipment your car has which makes the decision difficult. If the car is a 6 speed then the gears make a difference, if it's an A4 you need to know the converter stall. I assume you do not have headers on the car, just another thing you need to know.

having a G5X3 114 with stock 243s. I think it may be a bit much or on the edge for daily driven. but as you know that all depends on how much you can tolerate. I will go a little lower on duration, since you're doing heads also it will make up for the minor power loss it will do cam only. I choose the 230/234 112. should have a nice lope to it and easier to tune.

I loved the 230-236 112 +2 XE-R I had in my H/C ported 90/90 setup. I drove it everywhere including DC ruch hour and on 500 mile trips. It made 460RWHP.

Contact JACKS996..I sold him my top-end when I did the 403.

You'll be fine with the 3:42's. Lots of guys run that setup and have no problem with it. If you had an A4 2:73 geared car then I'd say no. As far as the lift goes, mines in the low 600's.
