Need stereo help.

I want to run an alpine deck but also want to run the original bose amp and speakers. Is there a wiring harness that i can buy to make this work?

Yes, check this web site out. They sell the wiring harness to swap out the head unit and leave the Bose amps and speakers.

I'm running an Alpine 9885 receiver with the stock Bose speaker system. I used the Soundgate Bose Interface. It's around $65.00. Works great.

my c5 is a 99 frc. Does this model come with the bose system or is it different. I know the door says bose, but someone said it was not.

Front speakers are Bose, rears are not, I replaced the HU and the door speakers in my '99 FRC a couple years ago, one of the best mods I've done. IMHO, it's not worth trying to run the Bose speakers with a new HU.

I think you need the Soundgate GMCVR2; that's what I used to put a JVC 5000 in my 02 coupe. I replaced my 3.5 door speakers and 6.5 rears with Bostons. The Soundgate has a gain control so you can match the Bose sub levels to the aftermarket HU YOu should check the audio forum threads:

There were some non-Bose systems. My 2000 FRC was one originally. It came with the cassette player receiver, non-amped speakers. However, my speaker covers also didn't have the Bose stickers. To be sure, you can check the front speakers and/or look under the drivers side knee bolster to see if there's the signal processor. I bought a complete Bose system from another forum member & upgraded. Since then, I've changed over to the Alpine 9885.
