Paint Scratch Repair
-I purchased a high end paint job that came with a warranty.
-While having the car touched up it ended up getting a scratch in it on the spoiler.
-The shop stated to bring it back in and they would fix it
- after a few calls and e-mails didn't hear back from the shop
- Shop is closed down and now rumors flying around about them filing bankruptcy (http://www.tamparacing.com/forums/dr...back-open.html)
- E-mail'd an employee of said shop and he said he would get back to me after talking to the owner
- Been a few weeks and no contact and im sure once bankruptcy goes through no warranty
- Shop is closed and they are being evicted
A) what would you do in this situation?
B) Anyone know a place that does good scratch repair in Tampa? (The scratch is deep and can't be buffed out)
If you can get the code, and it is a "standard" color/paint, then a good shop should be able to match it.
If it's a custom mix, try to get the mix specs from the shop owner or painter. Make sure and ask without an attitude, because at this point, it sounds like they can't help you with warranty work anyway.
Good luck!!!
