I just installed my auto-dimming mirror with LED map light and built in Homelink transmitter.
I was going to do the visor homelink mod this winter then saw a post from the past on a homelink mirror.
I love it and it works great.
It is a Gentex Genk42 from Brandsport. $249.77 out the door.
Piece of cake to install
3 wires: Battery,switched positive and a ground.
Since I have my radar detector switched into the ignition I just tapped into that circuit.
All of the other wires were in the old harness.
Have a good one

You can also get compass and outside temp options on it.
The auto dimming works just like any other GM vehicle I have with an auto-dimming mirror.
In fact the company (gentex) makes most of the auto-dimming mirrors for the auto industry. http://www.gentex.com/automotive.html
they discontinued the genk42 but if you do a web search you can find sellers with them in stock.

Mirror with outside temp?
.
Just roll down the window,
if it's cold, roll up window...turn on heat
if it's hot, roll up window....turn on A/C
if it's just right, leave window alone.
.
ok, that just about shows how useless that gage is. or
Ask yourself, "was I cold when I got in the car"?
.
Wouldn't getting in the car, give a clue, as to the outside temp.

Spoken like a true Floridian
In Michigan we use the temp gauge to let us know if it is cold enough to make ice on the roads.
Before the invention of the in car temp gauge we used the growing antenna trick.
If your antenna gets thicker as you drive behind the car kicking up rain or mist in front of you you have better slow down.
I had my antenna get so big on the way home in freezing rain that it looked like a broom handle.
Here is a pic of a white knuckle ride home last winter.
I snapped a picture of my saturn vue then I got home.
