Default L.A.P.D. Press Release

Los Angeles Performance Division has spent much time and research into the best ways to serve our loyal customers as well as expand our product line and Internet sales. During this research, we looked closely at the current location in Chatsworth, California, and examined both the advantages and disadvantages of being in the heart of an industrial hub.

The greatest disadvantage was the difficulty that many of our new customers had in finding our facility in the extreme west end of the San Fernando Valley. The secondly was the challenge of creating a sense of excitement, interest and curiosity for the general public when driving by the location. Lastly was our proximity to a suburban neighborhood; we would be performing Dyno Tunes and, as you all know, some of the cars associated with the aftermarket performance hobby are a bit loud under full throttle and it is difficult to be a good neighbor to those that have an expectation of a quiet neighborhood.

After weighing the pros and cons of the current location, we set that aside to look at our Internet and Web presence. Our website has had many minor technical issues and email glitches that have caused frustration for our Internet customers, as well as our staff. We are now undergoing a complete redesign of our website that will not only address these issues but will become one of the most dramatic and interactive automotive websites anywhere.

As enthusiasts, we know what we expect out of our cars and what improvements we would like to see in the future. With that in mind, we began to look at our product line in an unbiased way. We determined that we needed to devote more dollars to research and development of new product lines -- not only for Corvette, but also for other domestic muscle and performance cars.

Many businesses make the mistake of doing business the same way year after year and still expect their business to grow without putting forth the necessary effort, or even noticing that their business has not kept up with a changing marketplace. With that in mind, L.A.P.D. is moving to a more centrally located full service and Dyno facility. We will disclose the location as soon as all necessary lease documents and permits are finalized.

During our move, Internet orders will still be processed and we will still be available by phone and email with very little, if any, interruption.

We thank you for your patience during this brief transition and look forward to presenting the new Los Angeles Performance Division.

Ya but there is nothing quite like Mid-Michigan drift during a snow storm.
That is unless you drift into a ditch
