Seems when I drive my C-5 around with the top off and back and forth to work, I feel a connection to the guys on motorcycles (not speed bikes but old school Harley folk). Am I Seems to be a connection between what they ride and what we ride. Is it "Born to be Wild", "Riding feeling Free" or something else. I think it takes a certain type to be a motorcycle rider, just as it takes a certain type to drive corvettes. Maybe it's the connection of being both blue collar dreams. Opinions or am I just nuts?
I pretty much agree with that in principal!!I love cars,,and vets in particular!! I've been riding for around 40 years(never owned a Harley though) Ride a Triumph Sprint ST(Sport Touring). It's kind of more in the performance spirit of the vet> DOHC triple, liquid cooled, fuel injected.Basically a sport bike with saddle bags!!Many vet and bike owners like to feel the performance,,at leas I know I do!!
There's a very fine line between Harley's and Vette's . Both American icons and both make you proud to own. I recently sold 4 of my H-D's and still ride the one i still have as often as i can , but it seems as though the Vette is my first choice more often than not. The wife enjoys the Vette alot , and that is also a deciding factor when going out for a cruise.
Life is good.........
Vette's and Harley's-those are two rides that once you owned one you seem hooked on them for life. Besides by Vette's my other favorite ride is my Electra Glide.
I think you will find that a lot of vette owners also ride bikes. I have had a lot of bikes through the years and still enjoy riding. I have found that you can get away with more on a bike than in the vette though. I have a 02 1800 Goldwing 6 cyl liquid cooled, shaft drive touring bike and a DRZ Suzuki 400 for playing in the dirt. The wife also has 2 bikes a 1200 Suzuki Bandit and ttr250 Yamaha. Only one vette though Only trouble is finding time to enjoy all of them When we go on trips we take the road bikes and we have been from coast to coast on our bikes. I always wave at vettes and bikes when in my car or on my bike so if you see an old man on a Goldwing waving its just me saying hi So to answer your question yes I have a connection to bikes and vettes

Have been spending time this weekend at the Harley 105th!

Was fortunate to have a C2 when I was younger, then went to bikes, then boats, back to bikes (full dresser, old fart's bike), then back to Vettes.
I've noticed that most Harley folks will look at a Vette when driving by. In my area, there has been more Harley dealer/Vette shows than I can remember. It's a good combination, yes, as someone said, "the blue collar workers American dream".
