New to the C5 scene...

What are the performance/weight difference between T-top C5's, Coupes, and convertibles? (If any)

No such thing as a T Top C5. You have Coupes with Targa Tops, Verts, and Hardtop ZO6. Coupes and Verts run the same. ZO6s run 405 hp to 350 for a couple and weight about 150#s less. They also have different gearing in the tranny and run 3-4 10ths faster with a good driver.

you should really get out and drive some examples of a C5....that way you can start to figure out which version will work for you!

All of the C5 model information by year is on the web site.

http://corvetteactioncenter.com/specs/

You be able to determine model, specifications, production, color availability, optional equipment....just about everything that you need to research your next car.

Another great source that you can carry in your pocket when you go look at a potential car is the Corvette Black Book by Mike Antonick.

An FRC is much better handling C5 and a tad quicker (due to less weight) in 100% stock factory form.

If i had the funds, a Z06 would be sitting in the driveway. A base C5 coupe will do the trick. I mean, with little money... you can make it faster then a stock z06. (When i say little money, i'm coming from paying $500 for a 5hp increase with my BMW M3.)
