Default CRASHED!!!! Help!

does anyone know what the bars are called that were known to scrap on serious inclines? i believe it also supports the radiatior.?

also...the fiberglass fender is connected to the metal frame up in front of the car by what? it looks like some kind of glue or something. does anyone know how to repair this if it is cracked?

Fenders are just bolted on. The rocker panels however are glued on.

And yes, I think the bars you mention are the radiator support bars.

the rocker panels....how hard are those to replace? do you happen to know if they use some special glue or not? thanks for the input!

If your front inner fender well is damaged, they are glued on.

Your rockers are glued and have a couple of rivets. You'll need to remove the doors and both the front and rear fenders. You'll need to fit and align them using the fenders.

Then glue and clamp in place. Not a fun job, trust me.

A good "corvette" shop can "repair" the existing rockers if they are not to badly damaged. Easier and cheaper than replacing them.

its the left side only. it isnt too bad.. if you look at where the frame rail meets the rocker (aka inner fender). it moves slightly if you push on it and seperates from where the glue held it on. moves maybe an 1/8 of an inch from where it was glued by the factory.

the only thing that concerns me is that the fiberglass is pushed in a little and is pretty close to the tire. i was thinking that maybe it could be pulled out or something. this is why i opped for a new rocker.
