Getting ready to install my ARH headers and have to remove the plugs to install them so I guess its time to replace the plugs. 30,000 miles.
What do you suggest for brand and gap? Have halltech stinger intake and headers have cats.
I just put E3's in mine Nice hot spark, I can't really tell you there's a difference, but I was impresed with the technology. They were more than conventional plugs but heck I won't replace em for a few years.
NGK TR55 for a naturally aspirated car, NGK TR6 for boosted or sprayed applications. You will need to change them more often than the OE plugs, but that's fine by me.
I had a bad experience with the E3's in my '02. they lasted less than 3 days before the motor started missing and sputtering so badly that the check engine light came on. I replaced them with NGK iridiums and haven't had a moments problem since.
I would use either the NGK Tr55 if you are willing to change more often than stock...otherwise stock plugs. I didn't have to remove plugs for my AR Header install though. Plug wires, coil packs, and Alternator up top. May need new wires if you damage them pulling them off. Didn't remove starter either!
