Just wanted to pass along another great experience with The LAPD. It seems that waiting for orders, having to pay extra for shipping, and/or (mostly AND) checking on a order that seems to have drifted out to sea, has/have become a norm with a lot of Corvette parts vendors. So, when I have a GOOD experience, and one that I didn't even ask for/suspect, I have to tell about it (and it's good for morale, too. ;))

I just ordered some lower front brake duct screens from the Group Purchase on the corvetteforum.com, and the order was kicked to LAPD. I checked the "Ground" method of shipping, since these aren't something that I really "need" right away, nor could I justify the added shipping expense for some faster method. Next thing I know (the next day), I get an email from LAPD (through FedEx) stating that the order had shipped, was going overnight, and incuded a tracking number, etc. -- and all at no cost to me (again, I didn't check the "overnight" box).

This is the SECOND time (on two orders) that LAPD has done this. Now, I'm remiss to write "Order stuff from LAPD, 'cause they always comp the overnight shipping," 'cause, frankly, I don't know if this is their "policy," or if I keep lucking out. But I suspect I don't keep lucking out...

A thank you email to LAPD got me one in return (from Shawn, and just 3 minutes after I sent mine). These guys are top-notch.

And for anyone who runs into a snaffu (sp?) with them in the future (I imagine it COULD be possible), I'd suggest that they'd bend over backward to make things right. Their attention to the little things -- like actually trying to make customers HAPPY -- has made a big difference to me.

Oh yeah -- no free stuff or anything prior to or for writing this post (although I wouldn't be opposed to it, Shawn ;)). Just wanted to say some good things about a good experience with a good company. :)

I'm telling you .... if the CF forum has some kind of "Rating system" - for vendors , LAPD would definetely be in the top 5. Shawn and his crazy bunch over there, get the product out - in a timely fashion, at reasonable prices. I'm sold ... :cheers:

Ordered Corsa's (sorry I am in the Z06 section - I come to drool every once in a while) and there were there 2 days later. Cheaper than anyone else!

 

Shawn does a great job at LAPD for sure. :)

Have to give Shawn his props, he is the the man! I ordered Z06 screens and a MagnaFlow exhaust (with x-pipe) from him at 2pm and got it at 1:30pm the next day. It was incredible that it came from California to Illinois so quickly. WAY TO GO LAPD (FedEx too)! :cheers:
