I can't reinstall my 98 back vert window. The glass has two straps just holding it up. I also need a fix for a broken door rear view mirrow. Also my wife and I have never been shown the wave-we would use it if we knew it.
I have sadly postponed this work on a beautiful car that doesn't even have a gravel chip.
I would appreciate any help that I could get.

It's common with the vert tops, you will see a lot of postings in regards to the subject. Some opt to attempt to fix themselves, others, including me, had the top replaced ($1,500.00). Personally, I chose a professional replacement as opposed to the attempt fix
a - because I didn't want to invest in the tools necessary
b - wanted a professional finish in the event I sold the car someday.
My rear window glass fell out while having the car detailed..and of course, the detailer refused to pay for it.
I had my top replaced for $1,200. You can save yourself some money if reuse the weather stripping and the headliner. I had the parts ordered from Zip Products.
This must be a very common problem, because the glass in my new top is glued and stitched into the top. In addition, the top is cut such that the windows do not rub against the top when the door is closed. Overall. I'm quite pleased.
