Idler Pulley Question
My stock c5 m6 needs a new lower AC idler Pulley, so I order one from Autozone. My question is will it be a problem running gatorback belts? The new pulley is not threaded. The belt simply runs over the ac idler but over time as more pulleys need replacing and are not threaded will this matter? Thanks ALL

Does "threaded" mean ribbed ?
If so the outside of the A/C belt, which is smooth, is the side of the belt that contacts the idle pulley and tensionser pulley which are also smooth. If the belt was turned inside out and the ribbs were then on the outside,then the ribbed side would run on the idler and tensioner pulleys.
