Vortech Supercharger Question
I have a 2000 C5 with a Vortech supercharger, which I drive once a week.
The supercharger has a rattle when I first start it, after about 2 minutes
it stops rattling and runs quite. I have checked the idler pulley and rotated the blower by hand and all bearings are fine. Once I get passed
the rattle, it starts quite all day long. The Supercharger is oil cooled and
my performance shop says that the oil maybe draining down as the car
sets, and stops the rattle when the oil pressure fills the blower. As you
can guess it doesn't rattle by the time I get it to the shop. Does anyone
else have this rattle problem. The shop cannot find anything its hurting,
I don't like the rattle. Any ideas, thanks.
