Upgraded suspension this weekend...
WOW
What a difference from the FE1/Soft ride.
I'll say this though...the directions I used (http://fuzzydiceracing.com/test.htm) said 2-3 hours at a lazy pace...well if he or anyone else can do it that quickly, here's to you -
!I took me about 5 hours to do the job with the help of a buddy (first time doing this).
Biggest pain was the top nut on the front shocks
. Whoever designed that should be
. Also, I didn't need to use the zip ties...I just compressed them by hand. As the directions indicate, if you can bench press 300lbs...well since I can press more than that I guess he's right!I couldn't believe how skimpy the FE1 sways are as compared to the new ones
. I could flex them using my knee and pulling back with ease. Couldn't budge the new ones at all! Also, the Z06 shocks are noticably wider in diameter. Was wondering if the Z06 shocks will affect the ride height? Anyone know???
Well...for those with the FE1...upgrade now and you'll see how a VETTE SHOULD HANDLE.
Also...big thanks to Gene Culley at GM Parts House...placed order on Wed afternoon...arrived Fri Morn. Great prices and service as always.

I went with a C6 Z06 shocks and I love them !
Some spots where I used to scrape the front air scoop doesn't scratch anymore! So that's telling me that front shocks are preventing the body from dipping over depressions in the road.
Also...braking nose dive is barely noticable. Cornering just got a whole lot better...took a hair-pin on a closed road at about 50 and there was barely any body roll.
Normal driving over bumps etc is firm and smooth...still retains great road manners.
I'm in total awe of the improvement.
