Default Door panel repair

I got a set of mod red door panels for a really good deal that i couldnt pass up. They are in great shape except for one thing. The material is coming off the panel a little bit right near the arm rest and right above the arm rest. You really cant tell by looking at it. But when you press it down, you can tell it is coming off the panel a little. Same problem on the passenger side. Like i said, they look good otherwise and i got them for a good deal, so i dont want to just throw in the towel and just buy a brand new set. Has anyone had this problem and does anyone know how to fix it? I would really like to do it myself and not pay for someone to do it. Thanks for any help

I have not read or seen any fix for that , and I have tried
I ended up changing my panels a couple of years ago , bought a set on Ebay , but mine were just black , I suspect the mod red would be even harder to find used.

I had the same problem a couple of years ago. I cut a couple of small slits on the top of the arm rest and put some glue into the slits. I brought gray leather arm rest covers and put them on to cover the slits and they look pretty good. I know of alot of my friends who have older C5's and this is quit common.

I would try taking a glue filled Syringe and injecting it in that spot.

Go to Vette Essentials and cover the armrests with their covers. They have a mod red one that looks great. Did it on my car.
