hey guys just wondering if anyone knows the the type and where I can get this shift ****. No pics, but it is about 4 or 5 inches tall, cylinder shaped. It is almost like a tall handle. I think I've seen it in the C5R and also in alot of rally cars. I've seen a bunch of cars on this forum with it.
Have you personally tried it? Besides looking phallic, any drop of moisture on your hand will make it slide off, making it impossible to shift correctly. I missed shifts all day at the track since there's no way to grip it correctly. I've been through four shift ***** and the stock C6 **** is the only one that worked for me.

I don't have any issues with my Delrin (gets hot here in Vegas). Worst part was getting used to the side grip vs top.

I had the same issue with the slippery factor. Solved it quick and easy... Go to Home Depot or Lowe's and buy a pint can of PlastiDip. It's a liquid rubber-like coating. Make a "dipping jig" out of a coat hanger, so you can dip the **** hole-end first. That way, the hole doesn't fill up with the goo... I dipped mine twice, letting it dry a few hours in between. Gives it a nice, flat-black appearance, and no more slippage!!

Great idea. Do you have any pics of what the **** looks like after?

I don't have a picture handy at the moment, but it basically looks the same except it's more of a flat black finish - not shiny. Also, you can get the Plasti-dip in other colors, such as a red that is very close to Torch Red, if you want to go that route.
