Default Oil Leak

Hey guys, i just bought a 2002 Z06 with 12K miles a couples weeks back. I noticed whenever i pull out of the garage that there is a couple drips of oil under the motor where the car was parked. I would love to stick my head under the car and take a look, but my car is lowered. I have no clue what part of the engine is leaking. :-(.
Is this a common problem, if so is it an easy fix? Was planning on taking the car to the dealer, but did not want to get charged some outrageous amount, Anyone have a similar problem? Maybe i just need an oil change lol Thanks guys!

Default Have one, cause still pending.

I have what looks to be a haze of oil on the bottom of my oil pan and you can see a little bit of blowback on the headers. Almost looks like someone put the oil filter on a little loose once. Cleaned the area around the drain plug in front when I did an oil change and it hasn't gotten dirty again yet. I have the two piece oil pan and no easy way to get under the car so haven't started any in depth investigation.

If I smell any oil burning while the car is running or if I get some time next time I go through the hassle of putting it up in the air I will detail out the bottom of the engine then put some Dye-Lite in the oil and check for the location of the leak and let you know so you can check the same spot on your car. Oil trace kit is an awesome tool if used correctly.

Hmm so a loose oil filter may cause an oil leak.. Ill check that out when i get a chance. Shouldnt be to difficult once the car is in the air
