My gas gauge has been screwy for a few months now. When I fill it up it will go only to 7/8 of a tank and then start working again around 3/4 of a tank. This is every time for the past 8 or so fill ups. I've run about 6 cans techron through it with no luck. I heard about this BG44K product and wanted to give it a shot. The Power Enhancer is the product I was going to purchase but I wanted to check with the forum first.
Forget the exact name, but I bought the GM fuel conditioner from the dealer at $20.00 a bottle and 1 bottle cured my gauge. Says right on the bottle that it will do that. Techron did not work for me either, but it may have been a combination of the two.
I've run BG44K in all my cars for the last dozen or so years. I've never had injector, cats, knock or a list of other problems. I don't run it in the vette but I do run Techron through it every oil change to keep the fuel guage from having problems.
Hi There:
Its been a while since I used BG 44k which was a fuel injection cleaner made by B G Products based in Kansas.Back in the day they called it mechanics cleaner. Comes in a bright gold can. Really cleaned out my injectors & junk in my gas tank at the time.

I use Shell premium with an occasional bottle of Techron and haven't had the problem (knock wood). Someone suggested never going below 1/4 tank so the sensor isn't exposed, I guess that's not easy when you're not sure of how much is in the tank?
I'm really trying to avoid giving the dealership any money for this. I know exactly what they will say and I don't have $1500 to spend on it. Thanks for the input.
Unfortunately these products are for preventive issues not cures. I had to have my sending units replaced 1st then used 44K about once a month to help keep them clean. I guess it would depend on how much corrosion is on the sending unit will determine if this will be the answer once the problem starts. It's been at least 4yrs now and I have not had any issues with anything once the sending units were replaced and used the 44K as a preventive product. Hope this is useful
