Default Acetone in gas
Has anyone ever heard of putting a tablespoon of acetone per 10 gallons in the tank? Someone just mentioned it to me. I have never heard of it. Suppose to improve performance and mileage.

BTW: he offered this warning — don't get it on the finish.

How about cow magnets attached to the fuel line to better position the molecules for burning? Yikes.

Toluene mixed correctly will yeild a higher and usable octane. Acetone..........not anything I would do. I work with that stuff daily along with other chems.

Acetone will harm the finish on your vehicle, but then again, so will brake fluid.

Does it work, yes. I tried it in my daily driver and boosted the fuel economy by about 3mpg, from 17mpg to a little over 20mpg.
