Y2K Wheel Question
I have painted Y2K's on the car, they were made in 11/99. Does anyone know if these are forged or cast? Are these the ones prone to cracking?
Comparing the weight of mine to 04 Y2K polished made by speedline, they seem heavier.
Also, has anyone tried polishing the painted wheels?
How long did it take and how'd it come out?

I believe they are forged - I think they went with cast wheels sometime late in the '00 model year. If you can find an '01 with the same wheels, look at the width of the spokes. The cast ones are a bit wider.
I did not polish my Y2Ks when I had them, but I did polish some on an '89 Vette I had. If you get a good shop to do the polishing, they look great.
