Getting my MY C5 tinted tomorrow and I can't decide on whether to go 20% or 25%. It is my DD and is driven at night quite a lot so I don't want to go too dark. Legallity is not a problem. I don't think the looks from the outside will be much different so I'm kind of leaning towards 25 to be on the safe side. A friend had 15% on his RSX and it was definitely too dark for me that's why I'm a little scared of 20%. What do you guys recomend?
Even with the 20 or 25 it will be hard to see at night. Especially if it is raining. You won't notice a difference in night visibilty between 20&25. I have 20 on mine and i sometimes have to roll down the windows if it is not a lit area.
I have 20% on my truck and thats what im getting installed on my Z tomorrow. Like everybody else said you wont notice the difference at night. I just roll down my windows at night if i need to.
I drive with the windows down at night anyway unless its raining. I guess I might as well do 20 then. I'll prolly ask the dude's opinion when I go.
Also, do you guys get a strip done on the front windshield? I like the stock tint but realized that unlike my last car, my V1 is visible at certain angles from outside the car.
my neighbor is a cop and said I shouldn't have any problems with tint laws here on a vette. He said around here they just use them as a reason to pull over cars they think might have drugs or something.
I like the stock look on the windshield but I don't want a broken window and a stolen V1 simply because I didn't get a $10 strip.
Overall 20% is the best look if you have a light interior. If it's dark then 25% would be a perfect compromise. I have 30% with a dark interior and I wish it was a tiny bit darker
Well sadly the place I had an appointment with will no longer do illegal tints since they had recently gotten in some kind of trouble. Gives me more time to think about what % to get but now I need to find another reputable shop in the area :-(
