We call those shows "Homer Shows" because the "home boys" vote for each other.

I've never been to a car show, but I've read a lot of the threads about them out of curiosity.
One thing I've noticed about statements like the one above is that the word "best" is so subjective and can vary widely.
On one thread, a guy was totally convinced that because his car didn't win, the judging was obviously rigged or unfair. I looked at the pictures of his car and thought it was overdone and quite gaudy. I wouldn't have voted for him and I didn't know anyone involved.
Just goes to show..... you should do what you think is right for your car and enjoy it regardless of what anyone else thinks.
Oh, and I haven't entered a show yet because I wouldn't want to hog all the top awards... that is if the judging was fair!!!
