Default quick question about car cover.

My car came with a car cover, and I have not used it yet, i dont know the brand, but it is really light weight and looks to be made of nylon or something.

My question is... can I use this outside during the day in the sun, while Im at work?? is it ok for the paint? will it rub the paint and make swirl marks?

I park next to the building and another truck so I wont get any door dings ( I learned the hard way )... so anyways at my work, we are in between 2 other businesses, and they both have dirt lots, with tons of trucks going in and out all day... so to say the least my car will be really dirty tomorrow after work, along with all the damn yellow spots left from bees??

thanks.

putting a cover on a dirty car can induce swirl marks as the dirt on the car gets rubbed by the covering/uncovering action.

I have a light cotton one I use in my garage and a water repellent on for out of town.

It doesn't sound like you have a cover for outside use but rather one for use while car is inside (garage).

My outside cover ( NOAH) feels more like cloth and has three layers I think with one being a layer to help keep out dust.

I am pretty sure your cover will allow plenty of that dust from the trucks and dirt lots to get onto your car.

Get an outside cover for best results.

I would never put a car cover on a dusty/dirty car and if you drive it to work, there will be dust on the car. It sounds like to me you have a cover that is mainly designed for indoor use - if I were going to use one outdoors, I would want a cover with a soft lining to prevent any scratches.
