Default Back in Z saddle

Some of you may recall how I lamented that I had to give up my '04 TR Z06 a couple of months ago because of unemployment. Well it figures, not more than 3 weeks later I land a great job but the Z is gone!

About 2 weeks ago I came across a beautiful MY '03 Z with less than 6k miles on the clock not too far from home, so I snapped her up and I have absolutely NO REGRETS! I kept most of my bolt-ons from the '04 ('cept for my B&M shifter and VR-B2) and those are already on the car. It was bone stock except for the heavy chrome wheels, but I've already got some stock lightweight wheels on the way which I'll have polished, and then the car will be dropped on stock bolts - among other things.

It's good to be back! I'll have better pics in the future, but for now...

Hey, thanks for all the kind words everyone. One of the things I missed the most was the feeling that I was part of the Corvette community. The car and the people are VERY special! And I certainly never thought I'd have a bright yella 'vette, but dang - it's sure pretty! Really makes those beautiful lines of the C5 FRC pop.

Regarding the polished rims, the ones in the picture are the aftermarket chromies that came with it. The original factory wheels I picked up off eBay are supposed to arrive tomorrow. There's a local shop in Santa Ana called Speedway Metal Refinishing, or something like that. They want about 120 bucks a wheel to strip, polish and clearcoat the rims. My biggest concern with the rims is finding a suitably-finished center cap.

I also have a Magnaflow X that I picked up off the forum and a tunnel plate from Elite Engineering that I need to install. While I'm under there I'll install my Fatt Daddy rollers and rocker savers. I'll probably attach my Corsa Indy Daytonas to the X-pipe while I'm at it, although I'm seriously considering selling the Indys and buying a set of the new Corsa Extremes.

Moddin' sure is fun... and seriously expensive! At least I saved a bunch of parts off my '04 including my Halo's, partition, catch-can, Corsas, etc.
