02 ZO6 Question
Has anyone with a 02 ZO6 had any oil consumption problems? I am thinking of buying a ZO6 and was wondering if the 02's fixed the problem.
I am afraid to buy a 01 and have it be an oil eater.

Re: 02 ZO6 Question (speedy-gonzalez)
I also have an 01, late in the build cycle, and have had zero problems. I think they already had it fixed by then. Percentage wise, few are "burners".

Re: 02 ZO6 Question (agentf1)
Thank You for all of your replies. Would you buy an 01 with less than 10,000 miles? I know it is a gamble on the oil use, I just don't have any faith in dealers ripping the engine apart.

Re: 02 ZO6 Question (Corvette ED)
01 built late in model year (late april), burns oil. (1qt per 700 miles).
I had PCV system replaced recently to hopefully fix the problem. Apparently not all oil consumption is due to rings.

Re: 02 ZO6 Question (no cure)
Yes its from the Solo II national tour at bremerton.
I used to have a 98 coupe and those are the wheels/tires I use for recreational driving. :D
I have Been waiting to find a good deal on a set of Z06 rims plus there is still some good rubber on those tires to burn up.

Re: 02 ZO6 Question (Corvette ED)
2,300 miles and only about 1/4 quart but that was after some very spiritied high speed runs at the 1,700 mile mark.
