Problem or nothing to worry about?
Hey everyone, I have a quick question. Sometimes when I get on the accelerator hard, theres a scent that I believe is coming from my engine area, its hard to explain what it smells like exactly, id say maybe a burning scent. I own an 01' and i believe that is the year with the oil burning issuse. Ive also read that if you drive your car hard you will burn a small amount of oil, so maybe thats all im smelling? Does anyone else experience this or know what it may be? Thanks in advance

You wouldn't (or shouldn't) smell the oil that would come from rings. That should be going out the exhaust. I would check the pvc/breather lines and see if one came off or is broken. Also check the pcv valve. Look at the dipstick and see if it's popped out.
