Default X-Pipe In Cali

Hey guys if i bought an X pipe could i weld/Clamp on my stock cats to the new Mid-Pipe? Or are new high flow cats needed?

I live in cali BTW and need to pass smog.. I also have stingers.

I have a Magnaflo X pipe on my `03, It is clamped in behind the stock cats.

As long as you have cats and they are in the original position you should be okay. I remember trying to mod in Cali and it sucked. Had to put my stock airbox back on to get smogged. What a pain it is out there to mod a car.

So basically i would just cut out the factory H Pipe and put in the X Pipe and leave the Cats in the factory location. Sounds easy enough

Does anyone have pictures of underneath a C5

I have a Magnaflow X clamped with stainless band clamps behind my cats. No problems.

As long as you don't add headers you should be fine. I have slp headers, h-pipe w/high flow cats and I barely failed. Just a heads up
