I have a 2001 z with 45k miles. The car is all stock execpt for visual mods. How much is the average supercharger kit and the labor to install. And what else do I have to do to accomodate this mod?I love the car and plan on keeping it for a while so what the hell. And if you have any sugestions for a specific supercharger kit and where to get it that would be most helpfull. How much more hp do ya get from this type of mod?I drive it about 3500 miles a year but when I take it out on those rare occasions I want it to kick some ***.This is a good winter project.I don't work on my car so it would go to the local dealership for the mod.Thanks,Rockerdude. my day job....www.sterlingsoundstudios.com
I like the Kenne Bell or Magnacharger/Callaway blowers....
I've driven plenty of LSx supercharged 'Vettes and have owned a twin turbo LS1 with way over 600 hp at the wheels...
for an easy to set up and easy to maintain system should you have to do other mechanical work in the future; I like the roots type blowers (Kenne Bell/Magna) plus you get instant boost instead of waiting for redline to hit full boost in the Vortech/Procharger/A&A
Kenne Bell can grow past 1000+ hp were a Magnacharger will reach it's limits in the upper 500's at the wheels...
but you know what? in my experience.... having a stupid high hp level only wastes parts... and makes your car no faster since you don't have traction anyway. It's just for bragging rights... and another boosted car with less hp smokes you any day because he can USE the power.
Kenne Bell superchargers can be had for $7k new including the new hood. Same for the Maggie, favor to the KB since it can support 18+ psi and over 1k hp.
I looked at the Kenne Bell supercharger and they don't make a kit for the zo6. What they do offer is a supercharger that fits a ls3 type motor. Anyone want to clear this up and why not just go to a twin turbo kit. Much easier to swap turbos then a whole system. Plus bhp gaines are only limited by the strength of the motor.

What ever you do DONT TAKE IT TO A STEALERSHIP!!!!! Your bill for labor will be $100,000. I'm leaning to the TTI twin setup. And check the parts section. Its a guy selling his procharger/meth kit for $3,700.
checkout ECS web site.....www.eastcoastsupercharging.com. some of the fastest, most reliable vettes built. I believe 4DRush is on his 3rd yr of drag racing with a stock bottom end ECS equipped Sc'ed vette
I have an 01 Z06 with 44k miles. It has all the boltons, cam, and the T-Trim A&A kit. To do it the right way with labor, clutch, tune, and complete supercharger kit you are looking at spending between $9-10,000. My car put down 657 rwhp on a conservative tune. It is the best money i have spent so far!
