Default Interior Pics

Post your interior pics...STOCK/CUSTOM doesn't matter!

I want to see what has been done to the interior from aftermarket double-dins, racing seats, or even knew upholstery.

VETTE-KID

What did you do with the A/C controls...did you just get rid of it all together?

Well you referenced me, but the picture was Z06Joe. For mine the HVAC controls are not affected at all. In the disassembly photo you dont see it because it is out having the backlighting changed to blue, no more amber lights or funky green (except the read-out panel...couldnt change that). But all of the LEDs in there are now blue, with a few red (heat indicator and the red side of the rheostat). You can sort of see it in the pics below. They match the blue backlight in the HU, as well as the LEDs that I swapped into the rest of the car (HUD, computer, door locks, window, TC/AH switches...did I leave any out) Heres a few more detailed pics for the fun of it

IIRC Z06Joe has his HVAC relocated behind the ash tray cubby door. If your interested in changing you stereo setup to something like his, look around the Audio section (try a search for HVAC or something), I think there are a few others who have relocated theres as well.

Stereo USB cable routed to center console for Mp3 HD

Eclipse 6.5 components installed into doors (I know, I need to get rid of the "BOSE"

JVC 1din unit with .5 din center ch. Yes, I have surround sound!

MIC for hands free bluetooth, makes and recieves calls through the HU

better view of some of the leather goodies (shift ****/boot, door handles, Ebrake)

I like the idea.
How well does this work with the amount of background noise our cars pick up?

Also, does the center channel add much. It is a cool way to deal with the .5 din issue.

It works "OK". If i had to do it again, I think I would try and find another location. While this one is easy (drill the right size hole, and insert a firewall grommet), it sits just behind the wheel. So there isnt a straight line of sight from my mouth to the mic. Its not bad, but people say they have a little trouble hearing me. If you could mount it just a little higher it would be better, maybe on the ledge in front of the instrument cluster.

The center channel doesnt add a lot, unless you are playing a 5.1 dvd. But for music its off. at least with my HU, it only comes on in DVD mode. But thats a matter of the HU. Others will be different. BTW, the only place I could find this was on ebay. I think they quit making this model and I couldnt find any others. I chose it more for the cosmetics than anything. I just didnt want a big blank space there, and I didnt want to do a double din mod. This gave the cleanest look, IMHO. And its pretty cheap (I think the speaker cost me $50, and it came with its only little amp).

Joe's setup is pretty sweet! Very original and expertly installed!

Here's another shot of mine.

And the Meth tank in the back! This cover was also done by the same pro that did Joe's installs!
